Hospital Medicine Solutions (HMS), LLC

Position: Clinical Provider Recruiter
Location: Remote – Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Maine
Schedule: Part-Time, 25–30 hours per week
Duration: 6-month assignment with potential for permanent, full-time employment
Compensation: $35,000 for the 6-month assignment, plus performance-based hiring bonuses

Position Overview

Hospital Medicine Solutions (HMS) is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Clinical Provider Recruiter to support recruitment efforts across our hospital medicine programs throughout New England.

The ideal candidate understands the unique challenges of recruiting physicians (MD/DO) and Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) and recognizes that successful recruitment extends beyond clinical qualifications. We value individuals who can identify candidates who align with the culture, expectations, and operational needs of our hospital partners.

This is a remote, part-time position initially structured as a six-month assignment, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent, full-time role based on performance and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source, identify, and recruit qualified physicians (MD/DO) and Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) for hospital medicine programs.

  • Conduct initial candidate screening calls to evaluate clinical experience, qualifications, availability, career goals, and interpersonal fit.

  • Coordinate interviews between candidates, HMS clinical leadership, and hospital partners.

  • Facilitate background checks, reference checks, and preliminary credential verification.

  • Develop an understanding of each hospital partner's clinical environment, team dynamics, and organizational culture to support appropriate candidate placement.

  • Collaborate closely with the HMS Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Hospital Program Managers to understand staffing priorities and recruitment needs.

  • Maintain accurate candidate pipelines, recruitment activity, and communication records.

  • Transition qualified candidates to the appropriate HMS team members for offer development and onboarding.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience recruiting healthcare professionals, preferably physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.

  • Familiarity with hospital medicine, inpatient clinical environments, and healthcare staffing needs.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to assess both professional qualifications and cultural fit.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and candidate relationship management skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with clinical and operational leadership.

  • Must reside in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Maine, with an understanding of the regional healthcare landscape and local workforce dynamics.

Compensation & Opportunity

This position offers a salary of $35,000 for the initial six-month assignment, based on a 25–30-hour workweek.

Additional performance-based bonuses will be provided for successful hires. Bonus amounts will vary based on facility location, employment status (full-time, part-time, or per diem), and provider licensure (MD/DO, NP, or PA). Specific bonus terms will be discussed during the interview process.

Candidates demonstrating strong performance and alignment with HMS's long-term recruitment needs may be considered for permanent, full-time employment following the initial assignment.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
